Buttress is an EPCB tool which supports our approach to building resilience.
It is registered under the Trade Marks Act 1995 (TM 1355035) with IP Australia within Class 9 Application Software.
What distinguishes Buttress is how it will support you to understand your risks, evaluate your exposures, and take action to:
(a) mitigate your vulnerability before an incident - and
(b) manage the consequences after an incident.
Buttress is strongly aligned with the Business Continuity Standard BS 25999.
The Business Impact Assessment (BIA) element maps your critical activities, identifying the risks inherent across your resource profile as specified in the International Business Continuity Standard BS 25999 - i.e. across the assets, people, skills, information (electronic / non electronic), technology (including plant and equipment), premises and supplies which underpin your critical activities.
This approach has been validated by EPCB clients in both the public and private sectors.
